Privacy Policy

1. Overview

Screech On-Site ("we", "us") provides field service management software for contractors and trades. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and the controls you have over it.

2. Data we collect

When you sign up and use Screech On-Site we collect:

• Account information: your name, email address, password (hashed), and phone number if provided.
• Workspace information: the company name, trade, and billing details you enter for your workspace.
• Job and customer data: addresses, contacts, schedules, notes, and any other content you enter about your jobs.
• Photos and files: media you capture or upload through the app.
• Location data: when you use Clock-In or the map view, we record the latitude/longitude at that moment.
• Usage data: pages visited, features used, and basic device/browser info for product analytics and abuse prevention.

3. How we use it

• To provide and improve the service.
• To authenticate you and keep your workspace data isolated from other customers.
• To send transactional emails (invites, password resets, account notifications).
• To respond to support requests.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers.

4. Sub-processors

We use the following third parties to operate the service:

• Supabase — authentication, database, file storage.
• Vercel — web app hosting.
• Resend — transactional email delivery.
• Apple / Google — mobile app distribution (App Store / Play Store).

Each sub-processor only receives the data needed to perform its function and is bound by its own privacy commitments.

5. Sign in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and Google profile picture from Google. We use this only to create and authenticate your Screech On-Site account. We do not request access to your Gmail inbox, Google Drive, or any other Google service data.

6. Data retention

We retain your workspace data for as long as your account is active. If you cancel, we keep your data for 30 days in case you reactivate, then permanently delete it. Aggregate, anonymized usage statistics may be retained longer.

7. Your rights

You can at any time:

• Access or export the data in your workspace from the dashboard.
• Delete your account and all associated data by contacting support.
• Correct inaccurate information in your profile or workspace settings.
• Withdraw consent for data processing where consent is the legal basis.

8. Security

We use industry-standard practices: TLS in transit, encrypted storage at rest, role-based access controls, and workspace-level isolation at the database layer. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours that way.

9. Children

Screech On-Site is a business tool. It is not intended for use by anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of the page and, for material changes, notify you by email.
